TrailCam
TrailCam
Markings you simply cannot miss
TrailCam is an Android app that uses your phone's camera to highlight trail markings – marked posts, coloured ribbons in bushes and trees – in real time.
- Normalmodus: Live-Kamerabild in voller Farbe

TrailCam speichert keinerlei personenbezogene Daten.
What the app can do
In normal mode, TrailCam shows the live camera image in full colour. In marking mode, you pick a target colour (red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, magenta or white). The whole image is displayed heavily desaturated and darkened – and every pixel matching the chosen colour glows in a strong fluorescent tone. A threshold slider (0–100) lets you decide how strict the colour detection should be.
Colour detection runs as an OpenGL ES shader in real time (HSV distance with hue-wraparound handling) – no frames are dropped, and the two-finger pinch zoom (1×–5×) stays available in both modes at all times.
- Normal mode: live camera image in full colour
- Marking mode: colour selection, desaturated image and fluorescent highlighting of matching pixels
- Multi-select: several target colours at once – each colour in its own slot, conveniently toggled with a checkmark
- Rainbow filter: highlight whole colour combinations at once – single colour or combination of your choice
- Threshold slider (0–100) for fine-tuning
- Pinch zoom 1×–5× via shader, available anytime
- Real time: OpenGL ES shader instead of post-processing
- Smart updates: the app detects Play Store installations and links directly to the store update

Gameplay
- 3 Leben, Punkteanzeige, Game Over mit Neustart per Tipp
- Skill-Modi: Easy, Medium und Hard – mit passenden Vibrationen und Zeitlimits pro Modus
- Highscore-Liste: deine Bestleistungen bleiben gespeichert

Gameplay
The familiar principle: 6×7 coloured bricks, a paddle and a ball. Drag your finger to move the paddle, tap to launch the ball. The bounce angle depends on where the ball hits the paddle – so precise positioning pays off.
Three levels with increasing ball speed await you, followed by a "You win!" screen. You get three lives, a score display, and after game over a simple tap restarts the game.
- Classic gameplay: 6×7 coloured bricks, paddle and ball
- 3 levels with increasing ball speed, then "You win!"
- 3 lives, score display, game over with tap-to-restart
- Skill modes: Easy, Medium and Hard – with matching rumble effects and time limits per mode
- Highscore list: your best results are saved
- Bounce angle depends on the hit position on the paddle
- Custom image: at start you can pick any picture from your device – it is mapped edge-to-edge across the whole brick grid
- Art library: images from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Openverse (public domain) with source, licence and category filters
- Fractal generator: mathematical fractals as brick patterns – with deep zoom down to 28 decimal places
- Game loop with delta-time physics (~60 FPS)

Lecture Tool ATX
Lecture Tool ATX
Live feedback for lectures – anonymous, no sign-up
ATX is a browser-based tool for lectures built on three independent features: the attention tracker, with which students report their attention in real time via QR code; spontaneous votes that liven up a lecture – and often raise attention simply by asking; and a closing evaluation in which students give structured feedback after the lecture ends. Each of the three features enriches a lecture on its own – together they add up to a coherent overall picture.
Was ATX kann

What ATX can do
Keeping a lecture engaging means getting feedback while it still counts. ATX bundles three features, each valuable on its own and freely combinable: the attention tracker makes the audience's state visible, the voting tool actively pulls students into the lecture – and can raise attention as a welcome side effect simply by asking –, and the closing evaluation delivers structured feedback at the end. All of it without forced app installs, without accounts, fully anonymous. All you need is a browser and a QR code scan.
- Attention tracking: students report at the press of a button whether they are “with you” (IN) or “switched off” (OUT) – including emoji feedback and an optional message to the lecturer.
- Three polling modes: students start directly as IN, attention is re-queried at a fixed interval, or the lecturer decides via the “Check” button when a status poll makes sense (on demand).
- Live chart: the lecturer follows IN, OUT and undefined curves in real time, can zoom into the timeline and filter individual students – for example to trace feedback in the chat.
- Slide anchor: students can indicate their current slide; ATX detects the majority slide and shows the lecturer where the lecture currently stands.
- Voting tool: quick 60-second polls – spontaneously via the number keypad (1–9, 0 = abstain) or with prepared option packages, including live turnout and an animated result reveal.
- Closing evaluation: after the lecture ends, students answer prepared questions – one at a time, with multiple-choice options and free-text comments.
- Attention chimes: acoustic signals remind students of the remaining time during open polls – more subtle than any interruption.
- Anonymity by design: no names, no emails, no matriculation numbers, no IP logging – every browser merely generates a random token as an alias.
- Encrypted storage: all responses are stored AES-256-GCM-encrypted on the event's server.
- Export: the entire history can be exported at any time as a structured JSON file – for later analysis or archiving.
Anatomy of a lecture
- The lecturer starts the session and projects the QR code. Students scan it and are instantly in – no sign-up.
- During the lecture, students press a button to report whether they are still on board. The lecturer watches the live chart and can press “Check” or start a vote whenever useful.
- After the stop, the closing evaluation appears: prepared questions students answer right in the browser. The lecturer finally exports the entire history as JSON.
Who is ATX for?
For lecturers who want to know whether their material is landing – without handing out feedback cards or deploying account-based publishing tools. And for students who want to say honestly where they lost the thread without outing themselves: with ATX, every piece of feedback is anonymous.
Credits
The original idea for the attention tracker is credited to Franziska Lohrengel and Jan-Bernd Hövener – many thanks for the decisive spark from which Lecture Tool ATX grew.
Privacy
This section provides information pursuant to Art. 13 and 14 GDPR on the processing of personal data when visiting this page and using Lecture Tool ATX.
Controller
The controller responsible for data processing is Timo Damm, Butten 2, 24107 Kiel, Germany (contact: timodamm@googlemail.com).
Anonymity instead of profiles
ATX deliberately does not process personal data from students: there is no registration and no request for names, emails or matriculation numbers. On first open, your browser generates a purely random token locally (stored in your browser) which serves as a non-personal alias. IP addresses are not logged; cookies, tracking, analytics or advertising services are not used.
What data is created?
Your inputs (IN/OUT state, emoji, message, vote, evaluation, slide number) are stored exclusively together with the random token and a timestamp, and are kept AES-256-GCM-encrypted on the respective event's server. Please do not enter personal details (e.g. names or contact data) in messages and comments – they are stored until the lecturer deletes the event.
Retention, disclosure and recipients
An event's data is retained until the event is deleted via the lecturer view. Data is never shared with or sold to third parties. When exported as a JSON file, the data remains under the lecturer's control.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Since ATX does not collect personal data and feedback is stored without attribution, these rights can only apply to free-text entries you provide yourself – you may assert them at any time by emailing the controller. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory data protection authority (Art. 77).
